Hey, I am Keana Day

Photography has been something I’ve loved for a long time. In high school, I took every photography and Photoshop class I could, and somewhere along the way, I learned that photography wasn’t just about taking a picture—it was about learning to see the moment differently.

For a long time, I hesitated to actually pursue it. But as life has changed and I’ve built a family of my own, I’ve realized just how quickly the little moments pass and how much they’re worth holding onto. Photography became my way of slowing those moments down and remembering them for what they really felt like.

I’ve always been drawn to animals and the connection people share with them. Growing up around animals, I fell in love with the personalities, the trust, and the little moments that happen naturally when no one is trying to pose. And what I love most is seeing someone completely lost in something they love—the joy of an athlete in the middle of a game, the connection between a person and their horse, the energy of a rodeo, or the laughter of a family simply being themselves.

I don’t want to put my photography into one box. I love people, animals, sports, the outdoors, rodeos, and all the unexpected moments in between. If something makes me stop and think, I want to remember that, I want to photograph it.

Maybe that’s because I tend to see the world through rose-colored glasses. I find beauty in the ordinary, magic in the messy, and meaning in the moments that might otherwise pass by unnoticed.

I hope to see you through my rose-colored glasses, on the other side of my lens.

Who is Keana Day Really?

Meet the Photographer

I’m a wife, mom of two, dog mom, military spouse, and the person usually wandering around with a camera in hand. I’m happiest outside, around animals, chasing good light, or watching someone do something they genuinely love. I’m a little sentimental, a little adventurous, and probably going to stop to photograph something that caught my eye. My family is a huge part of who I am, and building a life alongside my husband’s Marine Corps career is what finally gave me the push to take something I’ve always loved and make it my own.

At the end of the day, I’m just someone who thinks life is pretty beautiful—and I want to keep finding ways to show you why.
